We were so very fortunate to have Stefanie style our engagement shoot. We had a particular theme in mind, and she was able to immediate grasp the look and feel that we wanted to convey. Not only was she able to capture our vision, she added her creativity to enhance our concept. She compiled an in-depth look book for us, and truly designed the whole shoot down to the very last detail. Having her on-site was amazing. She was so organized and had every shot set up which made for very seamless transitions. She truly was a lifesaver and really put us at ease throughout the whole process. Stefanie with Lavender Joy Weddings was the reason I could concentrate on having fun and being “in the moment” on the most important day of my life. I’ve been in quite a few weddings without planning or coordination services. It gave too much stress and responsibility to the wedding party and family. From those experiences I already had my mind made up that I couldn’t and did not want to plan my wedding alone. LJW specializes in wedding services and more specifically bride services, truly catering to the bride in every way. Stefanie took the time to understand my preferences and tastes, and when the wedding day came, I trusted her completely to make any unexpected decisions. She brought tons of insight and creativity to the table, and Stefanie knows how to maintain communication and makes you feel like you’re a part of every conversation she’s handling, without having to handle it yourself! Stef gave me confidence both with the decisions I saw and especially with those I didn’t see. LJW made a special effort to treat my family and every guest with honor. and there was no need/desire too trivial. Just like any other event and experience in life, complications with vendors/family members etc WILL happen. You just have to decide who will handle those issues; you, or a trusted and experienced planner. I had no idea how many details needed to be considered (not including my personal ceremony/reception preferences). Every bride wants to enjoy her day and not worry about all the details. A wedding coordinator is a must so that the bride or any of her family doesn’t have concern themselves those things. Stefanie is on top of everything and doesn’t miss a detail! She was a God-send on the wedding day. I knew everything was going to be perfect (and it was!) because of how much Stef cares about making it a dream come true for the bride. Stefanie’s attention to detail made my vision come to life and her calming nature helped me enjoy the process of all the last minute details. There are so many details that have to happen to pull off a wedding. It is important to have someone to just direct people and answer questions, or YOU as the bride will be that person. For example, when there was a slight mix-up and a delivery was made to the wrong place, Stefanie not only calmed me down but also discussed the “Plan B” in case we had to use that. Knowing she had a back up plan made me feel so relieved, and it all worked out in the end! As a bride with a small budget, it is hard to see value in paying someone to do things you THINK you can do. I did a lot of my wedding planning and only used Stefanie for a portion of it. However, the things she did were perfect and even better than I expected (and on the small budget I gave her). Some of the other things I handled….well, weren’t perfect at all. I wish I had used Stefanie’s industy contacts and network to find my photographer and cake as well. We invested money in those two things and didn’t get what we paid for. We got WAY more from the investment we put in Stefanie. If I could do it again, I would have used her for everything. If you’re going to invest in throwing a big wedding day celebration, you do get what you pay for. Pay for the best, and I highly recommend Stefanie and Lavender Joy Weddings. -Holly, bride
